We are seeking a Telemetry Nurse, internally referred to as our Med/Tele RN at St John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare. A dedicated nurse specializing in attending to patients within med/surg units, especially those needing cardiac monitoring. Our RN is instrumental in overseeing the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals needing cardiac surveillance during their hospitalization.

Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 12hr Shifts

Bonus Options: up to $20,000 (experience may be required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans
• monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms
• communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology
• administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
• provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
• Ventilator Management experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
