Senior Sourcing Specialist

Remote

The Senior Sourcing Specialist is a crucial team member, who enjoys a mix of strategic and tactical responsibilities working with vendors/suppliers within the medical device industry. Someone who can manage a supply base, from supplier selection and contract negotiation, through the life of a product.

What you'll get to do in this role:

  • Manage a diverse supplier portfolio and all commodities supported by this supply base
  • Manage cost of goods sold
    • Use analytics to track price variance and to develop a strategy
    • Identify, dive, and achieve material cost savings.
    • Control price increases
  • Negotiate contracts, as needed, to ensure compliance, as well as, operational excellence
  • Support sourcing and material procurement for product development
  • Provide input for material dispositions related to ECOs
  • Assess product lifecycle and work with cross functional teams to develop next generation offerings
  • Report supplier metrics and take action as needed to support continuous improvement

What we are looking for:- Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of work/education experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of category management
  • Track record of year over year cost savings
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Strong technical abilities, using mainly Microsoft Office products
  • Comfort with Public Speaking and providing presentations to executive leadership

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in Electronics Supply
  • Oracle

Travel Required: 15-25%
