Your Role

TheCatering Coordinator works closely with the Catering & Events Services Manager and Office Services team to support daily catering and event operations in the Gensler New York office.

What You Will Do

Support daily catering & events operations for internal events, external events, client meetings, presentations and industry events.

  • Organize and place catering orders.

  • Process and maintain all catering invoices with finance

  • Coordinate timely delivery, setup, and breakdown for all meetings and events.

  • General kitchen and office maintenance.

  • Partner with Office Services team to ensure all meeting spaces are well maintained to project a clean, organized, clutter-free appearance and professional environment.

  • Partner with Office Services for internal and external events, managing F&B requirements including menu, event proposals, timelines and budgets.

  • Manage inventory of all pantry items.

  • Maintain a professional and courteous interface with clients and staff.

Your Qualifications

  • 1-2 years hospitality & administrative experience

  • A polished and professional appearance and manner of conduct.

  • Service-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • A pro-active attitude, constantly anticipating office needs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Outstanding customer service, exemplified by courteous, friendly and accommodating demeanor towards internal staff and external customers/clients.

  • Creative problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Strong attention to detail and organized.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade school diploma.

  • Food handlers permit preferred

  • In office Monday - Friday and some weekend days

**The base salary range will be estimated between $60,000-$70,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
