We're actively seeking a talented Construction Manager to join our Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office. As a Construction Manager you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by managing ground up construction projects. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 3 Construction Managers.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Review construction documents during the due diligence phase for debt and equity to ensure they are within departmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate and direct tenant improvements and other capital improvements.
  • Maintain extensive project documentation and related records for internal use and distribution on a regular and scheduled basis.
  • Travel required (35%) to monitor construction through completion to protect against faulty construction and ensure that projects are completed in conformance with approved construction documents.
  • Attend Kick-off meeting with our borrowers for new construction projects.

The experience you bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management is preferred, with 10+ years of experience or equivalent education, training, and professional work experience, or 20+ years working in the construction industry in roles such as a superintendent or project/construction manager.
  • Experience reading and understanding loan documents and construction documents, including plans & specifications, and evaluating related construction costs.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new program applications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$131,040.00 - $160,160.00
