Job Description

As a Manufacturing Science and Technology Manager, you will manage technical and/or engineering process and/or product functions for a manufacturing facility of high complexity with large number of SKU's, Raw Materials, NPI's, and Regulatory Complexity. Manages a team comprised of 10+ Scientists and/or Engineers and Technicians (direct and indirect reports) including supervisors and/or Managers including Manufacturing Engineering Team, the Product Transfer Team, and the Manufacturing Maintenance Team.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Creates tactic and long-term strategic manufacturing objectives. Drives favorable trends in business results through implementation of improvements in equipment and facilities.
  • Recommends new technologies and capital equipment purchases to improve operations.
  • Improves product quality, reduces manufacturing cycle time, reduces costs.
  • Designs, implements and sustains key management processes in support of validation, maintenance and calibration.
  • Manages and directs the timely execution of projects, from inception to completion.
  • Leads and advises teams, gathering and analyzing manufacturing process data to identify key issues and bringing corrective action, to drive toward Company objectives.
  • Identifies, investigates and implements innovation technology solutions.
  • Provides training and direction in the development and implementation of production and process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Drives and supports continuous improvement initiatives, supporting strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Participates in annual strategic budgeting and planning process, with department budgeting responsibility.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a general or applied science such as Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Molecular Biology is required.
  • Master's Degree / MBA desirable.
  • 8+ years supervisory/management experience required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project and/or program management experience required.
  • Demonstrated history of driving improvement in key metrics in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO Manufacturing is essential.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to interpret financial and operations reports and use them for decision making.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles related to budgeting, variance and gross margin management, setting performance metrics and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills.
  • Experience developing subordinate supervisors and building high performance teams across multi-departmental organizations.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $149,000 - $204,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
