Dr. Seumois Laboratory at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology (LJI), https://www.lji.org/labs/seumois/ located in La Jolla, California, is seeking passionate and driven Postdoctoral or Undergraduate Researchers to embark on an exciting journey into the depths of immune diseases. Our translational lab specializes in harnessing the power of innovative genomic analytical techniques, including scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and scTCR-seq, utilizing multiple state-of-the-art platforms. Our primary focus lies in elucidating the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing how immune cells adapt and differentiate in response to non-infectious respiratory diseases such as asthma and airway allergies. We also work on understanding how autoimmunity develops in response to virus infections and cancer.

Our commitment to never stop pushing the boundaries of knowledge through cutting-edge genomic tools, spatial transcriptomics techniques, and even functional molecular cell system development and transgenesis. Although our primary focus is human immunology, we leverage animal models when necessary to gain comprehensive insights. While maintaining our freedom of research, we also maintain strong links with biopharma to move forward the transformation of our discoveries into potential new therapies and diagnostic tools.
