Job Description

Requirements:

    U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the previous three years as an MRI Technologist trained to operate a 1.5 and/or 3.0 Tesla Magnet.
  • Certification: Appropriate certification to operate MRI equipment as required by the facility.

Job Responsibilties:

  • MRI Operations: Operate MRI equipment to create diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
  • Patient Care: Explain the MRI process to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Image Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of the images produced and adjust the equipment as needed to provide optimal images to the radiologists for interpretation.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment to ensure it is functioning accurately.
  • Compliance with Protocols: Adhere to hospital protocols and standards for MRI imaging, including safety procedures for exposure to magnetic fields.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures, and report any issues or abnormalities observed during scans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare team members to discuss diagnostic plans and results.
  • Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations that may arise during MRI procedures.
