Brokerage Team Leader

Job Description Summary

This leader plays a critical role in ensuring ongoing efficiency and continuous improvement for a fast-moving and highly performing team. This role will manage all day to day team requirements, including staff oversight, prioritization of activities, team financial management, client service, and reporting. This role will be the primary liaison between the team and C&W requirements to ensure the team is working optimally within the overall C&W framework.

Job Description

Staffing

  • Oversee all support staff, including brokerage coordinators, associates, embedded financial analytics professionals, embedded marketing, and administrative staff
  • Provide clear goals and KPIs to team to ensure the team understands success metrics and their impact on the team
  • Ensure workload is appropriate for each team member and aligned with their skillset and role
  • Foster a positive culture based on mutual respect, fun, accountability, and honest interactions, tying recognition to traits that directly impact culture and success of the team
  • Train and/or coordinate the training of new team members, as needed
  • Support and active participation in daily work product creation, including both direct contribution and quality review

Process Management

  • Build and implement processes for day to day activities, including the creation on marketing material and other client deliverables, reporting requirements and cadence, and financial tracking and reimbursement, among other things
  • Schedule and run team meetings to ensure appropriate communication and a full understanding of deliverables, priorities, potential challenges, etc.
  • Track all client deadlines and ensure all projects are moving smoothly through the process, proactively addressing any escalations and re-prioritizations, as needed
  • Conduit between the senior brokers and the staff to ensure there is consistent and clear communication with quick resolution and clarification when required. Conversely, consolidates and raises team issues for broker attention in a methodical way.

Team Oversight

  • Fully understand the capabilities of C&W resources and ensure that the team is fully leveraging all available resources.
  • Actively engage with Centers of excellence and other C&W platforms to provide both positive and constructive feedback, with the intent of making them easier to use for both this team and others
  • Own the reporting/financial accountability of the team, ensuring that billing is kept up to date, C&W requests are satisfied, production reports and updated, expenses are tracked accurately, etc.
  • Create and manage marketing and expense budgets and partner with brokers and marketing professional(s) to maximize impact of expenditures, driving positive ROI
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate market feasibility for various real estate opportunities
